Aileen Keogan

Aileen Keogan Solicitor CTA STEP is the founder of Keogan Law & Tax www.klt.ie, a boutique private client legal and taxation firm in Ireland.
Her practice focuses on Irish succession planning both international and domestic, advising on estates, trusts and capital tax matters. She acts as consultant to solicitors and accountants and other tax advisers personal estate and tax planning, trusts and capital tax issues and as expert witness particularly in complex trust and tax issues. Aileen has specialised in these areas for over 25 years.
Aileen has written in international and domestic professional press and published widely on estate and trust planning, including The Law & Taxation of Trusts (Keogan, Mee and Wylie, Tottels 2007) and the Law of Capital Acquisitions Tax, Stamp Duty and LPT (ITI annual publication) and Laffoy’s Conveyancing Precedents (Bloomsbury, annual). She is a council director of the Irish Tax Institute, a Law Society of Ireland’s Probate, Administration and Trusts Committee member, its representative at TALC (a liaison committee between Irish Revenue and professional bodies), a committee member of STEP Ireland and its representative in STEP Europe.
