REGULATION: Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC deny Promoting Tax Avoidance Schemes.

(Financial Review) -- Big four accountants PwC, KPMG, EY and Deloitte have denied they are promoting tax avoidance schemes or using legal professional privilege to hide the promotion of schemes to clients.

Deloitte and KPMG also specifically denied being behind a 2016 scheme to avoid the Multinational Anti-Avoidance Law (MAAL) using a foreign partnership arrangement that so alarmed deputy tax commissioner Mark Konza he began investigating its use after being briefed on the technique.
