EGYPT: Royal Decree issued to ratify tax agreement between Oman, Egypt

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued Royal Decree No 43/2023 on Sunday ratifying an agreement between the governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The decree deals with the elimination of double taxation for income tax, as well as the prevention and avoidance of tax evasion, signed in Cairo on May 22, 2023, after presenting the same before the Shura Council.

It reads as follows:

Article 1 ratifies the above-mentioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree.

Article 2 states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and take effect from its date of issue.
